Few days trip to Khadda in ferry boat?
lets all khadda anglers go together in a bigger boat with popper kitchen, beds etc., N a kemari boat for each team and stay there for few days, like 2/3? see in our trips to khad we always got few hours of fishing windows, which isn’t enough?

Although I am no “Khadda Angler” like all of you I do have aspirations and the desire to catch big ones in deep waters. So I second the suggestion of A.S.
Let’s make a concerted effort to launch a grand trip and that should include atleast one large boat with rooms and kitchen facility and several launches with trolling facility.
Would Feb/March be a more appropriate time?

Definitely YES Dude, i would love to take this oppertunity to go out with bunch of experience Anglers so that i could hone my Angling Skills for step up.
Would also urgue Khadda Anglers to tell us the right time to leave for khadda for this grand trip.

GM, you need to comprehend properly what Riz wrote above with ? Then i guess u would not found anything tht needs a “laugh out loud” at ths juncture, as far as weather is weather is concern ITS THE MOTHER NATURE & no one can predict it.
Would appreciate if u could share your Astola experience so tht we could take necessary measures before leaving.

Guys Guys Guys, i have done some working on this last year and tried to get one of those huge wooden fairy boats with no luck available at marina club.
This is still wish full thinking but i know few anglers from different countries and many of us here are dying to do something like that, This requires at least 50,000 daily + kemari boats and food not much if some 15-20 anglers are going there.
By saying all of this i am the most irresponsible as an organizer and this year Tuna fishing isn’t good seem like not migrated or not used this route? etc i don’t know
Next year ….but lets do brainstorming?

NICE PICTURE, who knows its big eye or yellow fin but getting out this tuna its self is a big achievement, worth millions!

Please allow me to add few more comments/suggestion/issues on the “KHADDA FEVER”
Firstly (Suggestion), AS is it possible to migrate this discussion on the “Khadda trip” over to PGFA Yahoo Group using your administrative and IT skills. PGFA Yahoo is a very useful platform which brings together a broad spectrum of fishing enthusiasts.
Secondly(Comments), A.S. very rightly pointed out the big boat ‘Wooden Fairy Boat’ :). I am sure it require very handsome amount of money to hire a boat of such size.
But, is Marina the only place to charter a boat of such size? My suggestion is we all try using our available resources to find a private owner to allow us to charter this type of boat for a week. I am going to try my one contact and lets see what happens.
Thirdly is the issue of the TIMING of the trip. I open this dicussion for experts to suggest the best time to plan out this trip.
Forthly I request all the fishing freaks to kindly take initiative rather than waiting for others to plan out a trip. Let put together a concerted effort to make a grand plan which if executed professionally can bring about a paradigm shift in fishing in Pakistan. By concerted efforts I mean we request all stakeholder to get together. I take this to request ‘AGHA AZIZ SB’ to assist us.
One final issue, and the issue is … is GM
No I am just kidding.. GM, rather than debating on the topic of weather and which website is good or bad. Why dont you enlighten us on your experiences of Astola and Khadda and provide us valuable direction.

Very valuable suggestions Riz, im sure this will help alot to figure out this Grand Trip.
Let me contribute my share to our fraternity by using all my resources to charter KPT Vessel for maxmimum allowed time but before tht i need to check ths Vessel wheather it fullfil our requirement or not & for this i will visit personaly by tommorow & will confirm.

Astola Trip was amazing really Amazing.. got lot of bottom Fish.. on hand line and we dont want to post a report of handline with *Holding it pick in Camera with full zoom and saying 10 kg* Lol..
Miss Your fish finder there Riz.. take it with you when you are going there.. if it show fish ID then Enter Chind into it..

just want to add few things why dont you go at fisheries and ask for some Monsters trollers???

I’ve found KPT Vessel/Commuter Boat perfect (proper bedding & kitchen)& manage to have approval from KPT Higher Authorities for 3 days Grand Trip to Khadda but there is one horrific thing occuring & that is Fuel Cost which is costing almost 80,000 PKR (1,300 ltrs) food & other expenses are excluding.
I would urgue interested anglers to advise…

Dear A K,
With regard to the fuel cost, I am not surprised bcoz each trip to Khadda costs us around Rs.100,000/- on Donzi.
If the program materialises, I will be willing to contribute Rs.25,000/- over and above the costs that are to be incurred on Donzi, accompanying the trip. Lets be practical and arrive at a final decission. I would only request that I should be informed atleast 1 week in advance so that I am able to come down to Karachi with my team from Islamabad.

Rizwan Gillani, Hassab Areeb, myself & many other fellow anglers are literally dying to do what we are setting up but after your comments i instantly called A.S. to ask him wheather i should stop trancing & start implementing but his immense experience & research induce me that this year will not be good for such a Grand Trip.

Ali!…..I agree to the fact that the liscences have been cancelled in 2006, but please do not forget the massacare they were doing when they were here, the amount of Tuna they caught in the years they had the liscence were enough to finish any Tuna Fishery, also local, i repeat LOCAL KARACHI FISHERY trawlers, have been given the Granular U Hooks, by these koreans, and the same equipment the foreign trawlers used, the locals have been doing this since the past 2 years, and exporting tuna, after processing it…..
About the water temperature, there have been many days which had perfect water temperature & ideal water currents, but no tuna at khadda, the bait has been at khadda on several trips, ranging from Fly Fish to Scad Mackerel, the only thing i seem to be interested now is in, the tuna feeding pattern, which i unfortunately doubt has changed, which has caused a migration pattern from our usual Khad…… will inshallah go out to the sea & come up with reports……
